“Meat” and Greet

Our video-invite combined a Canon 5D camera with a letter press, born in 1925. Roses, daisies and tulips were not appropriate for our Valentine’s Day industry party. Because the theme was “Meat” and Greet, all the appetizers were meat flavored. Our swag was better than Belgian chocolate. And our guests quickly fell in love with Gaardhouse, flower-free.

Haitian Initiative

Our video for “The Haitian Initiative” focuses on aid to Haiti after their devastating earthquake. It was broadcast on FSW and on the Jumbotron in the LA Galaxy soccer stadium.

Gaardhouse recently completed a production for “The Haitian Initiative”. This video will air on the west coast and on the jumbotron during pre-game and half-time at an LA Galaxy soccer game. “The Haitian Initiative” donates and delivers supplies to Haiti which was devastated by a 7.0 earthquake in January that reportedly killed 200,000 people and left a million homeless. This program offers children in Haiti an opportunity to get off the streets and play a sport. Donations are provided to the children including soccer equipment, food, soap, clothing, coolers and other essential items. “The Haitian Initiative” will continue providing aid, equipment and soccer-based youth programming to Haiti during the rebuilding process.

Our latest freelancer has moved her desk into our studio.

We are excited to welcome Faith Eskola! Faith’s unique style is reflected in her incredible artistic design talents in motion graphics and print illustration. We’ve already introduced her to the neighborhood SIP Coffeebar for our early-morning-must-have-caffeine deadlines. When 12 hour work days are a little shorter, Faith loves writing bad poetry, spicy foods and using her passport. We raise our coffee cups in a toast to Faith. Welcome to the Brewery Building. MEDIA MIXOLOGY

IFPini cocktails were mixed with Media Arts when the bright lights of the film industry recently came together. Gaardhouse attended this benefit to support the IFP Minnesota Center for Media Arts. They assist and promote the work of artists who create screenplays, film, video, and photography in the Midwest. IFP programs facilitate interaction between the creative, technical and business aspects of filmmaking and photography. The night wrapped up late at the stylish Seven Ultralounge Rooftop where guests celebrated the end of a successful event.

She’s worked with Gaardhouse since our first click and her creative contributions resulted in our work winning national awards. We’re excited to announce Sarah Thormodsgaard is now working with us in a full-time position.

Prior to working with Gaardhouse, Sarah worked with television productions in Los Angeles. She brings her artistic talents to our team and skills for talking her way out of speeding tickets.

MORE THAN A HOLIDAY

Gaardhouse has an endless amount of respect for veterans and those serving in current conflicts. It has been an honor for us to have participated in the filming and post production of a documentary about an “Honor Flight” trip. “Honor Flight” transports America’s veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. This unforgettable experience began right as we boarded the airplane with WWII veterans. The 24 hour trip resulted in our documentary called “For Freedom,” which was featured on CNN. Happy Independence Day everyone. And a heartfelt thank you to all veterans and service members.

We’re not just soccer players and fans, we’re soccer supporters. Gaardhouse is assisting with events for The Sanneh Foundation. Former US World Cup and LA Galaxy star, Tony Sanneh, has a Minnesota-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which offers several programs and works with other community-based organizations to benefit urban youth in Minnesota and nationwide.

Gaardhouse worked on post production for the annual TreeHouse gala that took place at The Depot in Minneapolis. More than 1,000 people gathered for this successful event called, the ‘Canopy of Dreams’. Grammy Award-Winner, Amy Grant, performed new songs and classic favorites. Featured guest speakers included the mom, daughter and son of the movie “The Blind Side” based on their true family story.
